One month of 2017 has already come and gone.
As promised, here is a recap of some of my favourites from January. I focused on both health and beauty – the perfect blend to celebrate the new month of a brand new year.
CRBN Charcoal Detox Mask
I love taking time at the end of the day to focus on myself. This detoxifying mask recently released by CRBN is the perfect way to do so. My skin, especially during the winter, tends to be very dry. However, I find that a lot of products either make my skin breakout or be left feeling oily. Luckily for me, this detox mask only left my skin feeling soft and clean.
The teaspoon of charcoal mixed with 1 ½ teaspoons of water goes a long way. You could definitely share this little mixture with a friend, or in my case, I shared with my boyfriend! When you apply the black mask, it begins to dry grey. You can actually see your pores through the facemask as they open up- very cool to see!
When I washed it off after about 15 minutes, it came off easily and mess-free. My skin felt tighter and very clean. I absolutely love that the mask is certified organic and I can understand each ingredient listed directly on the package. The dead sea clay is what drew me in especially – as it helps to gently exfoliate and remove dead skin cells (aka flakey, dry skin!). Highly recommend.
Joe Fresh Lip Crème in Fuchsia 15K5
I am all about high-quality products that don’t cost me a fortune, especially when it comes to a simple gloss. I don’t typically go for bright colours on my lips, however this shade excites me and makes me look forward to spring. The colour stays on my lips practically all day, it is not sticky and it smells like vanilla (mmm). If you haven’t tried any Joe Fresh lip glosses, or any of their beauty products for that matter, I encourage you to.
Essie Polish in colour 'In Stitches' 608
Pink seems to be the theme of the month, but I have been absolutely in love with this shade on my nails. When you do a double coat, the colour is a pinky-rose with a glossy finish. Essie is another favourite polish of mine.
Sweet Leaf liquid stevia Sweet Drops
As many of you already know, I have a huge sweet tooth. Whether it is sweetening up my smoothies, oatmeal, plain Greek yogurt, or adding flavor to my coffee, this stevia saves me from having to add any unnecessary and unhealthy refined sugar. These stevia drops are all natural, are zero calorie, and have no carbohydrates or glycemic index. There is no aftertaste, either. My personal favourite is vanilla and toffee. I get the sweet taste I crave without a sugary crash. I bought mine from Nature’s Emporium!
Buck Naked Soap Company
This eucalyptus Himalayan salt soak and bath bomb are perfect for a night of winding down and relaxing. The scent is so calming and soothing, and it leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated. The eucalyptus is excellent, in particular, for anyone suffering from nasal congestion or sinus issues. I struggle with sinus problems and always rely on natural eucalyptus as a way to relieve my symptoms.
Buck Naked products are all natural, vegan and handcrafted. They use the best ingredients and their each crafted carefully. I officially love this company!
Until next month! Take care.
